GROM DAB Radio Tuner module and Antenna
GROM DBR1 DAB Radio Extension Dongle enables listening to Digital Audio Broadcast in your car through select GROM Audio devices in the UK & EU regions.
Features:
- Crystal-clear high quality sound for DAB channels
- DAB, DAB+ and DMB-R standards are supported
- Radio station info is available on select stereos only (GROM unit must be text capable)
- Tune-in from car stereo or steering wheel controls
- Support for Favourite stations
- Retrofit new DAB radio into your existing car stereo via CD changer emulation (avoid poor quality FM modulation)
- Windscreen or dash mounted powered antenna assembly included
Compatibility:
The GROM-DBR1 is currently compatible with most GROM-USB3, GROM-MST4, and GROM-MST3P kits. Please contact us for IPD4 and BT3 firmware availability.
Comes with everything needed to connect to a compatible GROM unit including an amplified DAB antenna for best possible reception.
The GROM-DBR1 connects to EXT2 port of compatible GROM unit, if port is currently occupied you will need to disconnect currently connected accessory
Note that the demo video is for Lexus with NAVI and mp3 GROM firmware. Some head units may not display station details!
Please take into account there may be some limitations with the controllability and display information as you are connecting new technology into a much older stereo system, however if this is something that you can work around then it would be an excellent way to add DAB to your vehicle without replacing the radio.
Please note you must also be in a DAB broadcast area of reasonable strength
