This high-quality iPod / iPhone adapter is suitable for connecting your iPod to the standard stereo in your Merc via the CD changer port. Listen to your digital music, charge and control your iPod / iPhone through your car stereo.

It allows you to "fool" your stereo into thinking that a fully featured CD changer is plugged in. This way you can have thousands of tracks divided into playlists or full shuffle mode if you wish. Get CD quality sound and do away with those poor quality FM modulators.

Main Features:

  • Direct connection from the iPod/iPhone to the car stereo enables high quality sound
  • Enables easy digital integration into the car system. Place it anywhere and control from the car stereo
  • The Grom Audio adapter translates button presses from your car stereo or steering wheel to the particular commands that an iPod/iPhone can understand
  • Charges iPod/iPhone while connected
  • You can keep your original car stereo and preserve the factory look.
  • You will legally be able to operate the iPod whilst driving by pressing your car stereo buttons or steering wheel controls.
  • Original car harness that fits right in your car stereo. Simple plug-n-play installation in many cases.

iPod/iPhone control and operation:

The playlists are mapped to the DISC buttons on the car stereo. Two modes: SIMPLE and ADVANCED

  • SIMPLE MODE: The iPod stays unlocked, you control the iPod from its clicking wheel. You can also browse tracks back and forth using car stereo buttons.
  • ADVANCED MODE: Disc buttons of your car stereo are mapped to the playlists that you create on the iPod. Full control from car stereo:
    - Browse tracks back and forth
    - MIX, REPEAT work as usual
    - SCAN allow to skip +-10 tracks for faster navigation
    - Playlist positions are preserved for fast operation
    - The following information is displayed: Disc #, Track #, time etc
  • iPod/iPhone stays charged
