Kiwi Wifi is a plug and play wireless device measuring only 70 x 32 x 15 mm and comes attached with a 3m OBDII cable for easy installation. It also comes included with a power switch built-in to prevent the need for having to constantly disconnect your unit from the OBDII port. It is compatible with 1996 and later vehicles (all vehicles have this port usually located around the drivers footwell). Connecting to your iPhone / iPod touch is made by 802.11a/b/g connection in adHoc mode. This unit is upgradeable to Kiwi Wifi + iMFD.

The Kiwi OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics version 2)  wifi module will enable you to send you cars engine data out via Wifi. When connected to an iPhone / iTouch or any other compatible device with compatible software, you will see in real time any available engine data and have the ability to check and cancel engine warning lights (This can cost £35 + at a dealer each time) Other functionality when using an iPhone includes GPS and acceleromitor information.

PLX Logger 3.0 is free to download. It is fully compatible with the PLX iMFD system without a software license. To obtain data from the sensors, two products are available from PLX. The iMFD DataLogger and the iMFD Serial USB Adapter. However, to use PLX Logger 3.0 with Kiwi Wifi, you'll need to purchase a license. What's nice about PLX Logger 3.0 is that it is compatible with the iPhone/iPod Touch app called DashCommand. Logged data from DashCommand can be downloaded into PLX Logger 3.0 for further detail review.

Kiwi Wifi is used to obtain OBDII data, however if additional sensors are required such as wideband air/fuel ratio, fluid temperature, you can daisy-chain up to 32 PLX Sensor Modules and read it simultaneously with PLX Logger 3.0. This brings the best of both worlds of OBDII interface and high performance dedicated sensors into one application.
