INSTALLATION OVERVIEW:

 

 

The schematic to the right gives a basic overview of the installation. The "Data Cable" plugs into the rear of the factory car radio into the CD changer port. Then the other end of the data cable plugs into the Grom adapter box. Next the audio cables are plugged into the Grom adapter box and routed through to the glove box or arm rest.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS:

The USB integration kit as standard comes with everything needed to connect USB memory (Please note ONLY memory sticks/drives or hard drives can be connected to the USB port).

Each adapter has two mini-din ports for additional accessories to enhance the kits functionality. The available connectivity options are:

iPod / iPhone cable for connection of Apple devices, gives the same functionality as the iPod kit. Standard and extra long length cables available.

  • Converts your iPod/iPhone into a virtual CD changer.
  • Disc 1 allows you to control the iPod from its clicking wheel.
  • Disc 2-6 mapped to playlists you create in iTunes.
  • Stereo will fully control iPod. MIX, REPEAT work as usual SCAN allows you to skip +-10 tracks for faster navigation.
  • The following information is displayed: Disc #, Track #, time.
  • Playlist positions are preserved for interruption free playback.
  • Charge iPod/iPhone.

Bluetooth Dongle and Microphone for hands free calling and music streaming.

  • In hands free mode you are able to: accept call, reject call, end call, adjust microphone gain and audio volume via your car stereo and steering wheel controls (HFP).
  • Bluetooth Audio playback allows you to stream music directly from your phone to the car stereo (A2DP).
  • Bluetooth wireless audio control allows you to Pause, Stop, Forward, Backward, Fast Rewind your music playback via car stereo/steering wheel controls (AVRCP)

 

Aux-line-in cable for injecting any audio source directly into the cars audio system.

  • Audio cable with 3.5mm jack.
  • Connect any device with a headphone socket such as an MP3 player, Phone, DVD, DAB or Sat Nav.
