The following terms and conditions apply to any and all transactions with Carputer-Shop.co.uk. Placing an order in any format indicates that you have read and accept these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully and print a copy for your reference.
General
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.
Description of Goods and Accuracy of Information
Because of the diverse nature of the products sold by Carputer-Shop.co.uk, it is not possible to give full, detailed specification for all items. The images, descriptions, specifications and advertising on our website or in literature are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. Full detailed specifications are available from the manufacturer's brochures or websites. We aim to keep information as accurate as possible, but cannot guarantee the reliability or accuracy of the content of the information and reserve the right to change specifications without notification.
Delivery Charges
All prices on our website are exclusive of delivery charges which will be added to the price of the products at the point of order, please use the “shipping estimator” button to obtain prices before purchase.
UK Delivery Times
Items ordered before 2pm Monday to Friday will normally be despatched within 1-2 Business days, this includes Royal Mail Special Delivery (subject to stock availability & payment clearance). To guarantee next day delivery please contact us to confirm despatch date prior to purchase. Royal Mail Special Delivery option is used to insure higher value items and doesn’t not necessarily guarantee a quicker service than Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded.
International Deliveries
Once an order is confirmed for international delivery goods are shipped by the most economical service with a tracking facility. Customers may choose to request their own shippers prior to despatch if necessary.
Prices
Wherever quoted, prices have been made accessible either by suppliers, manufacturer's, retailers or publications. These normally indicate the "typical" high street price, but is merely given as a guide.
Payment
The total price payable for the goods will be stated on your invoice. We reserve the right to make adjustments to the price due to error or omission or if the published price for the goods is wrong, whether or not the order has been confirmed. All prices on our website include UK VAT and excludes delivery charges which will be payable as indicated at the time of placing your order.
Property in Goods
If the buyer fails to make any payment to Carputer-Shop.co.uk when due, enters into bankruptcy, liquidation or receivership or a composition with it creditors, has a receiver, administrator, or manager appointed over all or part of its assets, or becomes insolvent, or ceases to trade or if Carputer-Shop.co.uk has a reasonable cause to believe that any of these events is likely to occur, Carputer-Shop.co.uk shall have the right to, without prejudice to any other remedies;
(i) To enter without prior notice any premises where goods owned by Carputer-Shop.co.uk may be, and to repossess and dispose of any goods owned by Carputer-Shop.co.uk so as to discharge any sums owed to Carputer-Shop.co.uk by buyer
(ii) To require buyer not to resell or part with possession of any goods owned by Carputer-Shop.co.uk until buyer has paid in full sums owed by them to Carputer-Shop.co.uk
(iii) To withhold delivery or any undelivered goods and stop any goods in transit
Payment Methods
Payment terms are printed on the invoice.
Cash sale Customers
Goods must be paid for prior to despatch. We accept most major credit and debit cards. Goods are shipped to the billing address as per the card providers details. Incorrect information could cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your card has been properly received. Payments may also be made by cheque or postal order although the goods are not despatched until payment has been cleared which can take up to ten days.
Website Errors
We reserve the right to cancel any order, and refund any monies you have paid back to you, whether confirmed or not, if a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information from our suppliers.
Availability of Goods
All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will not charge you for them and we will refund any money already paid for them. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply the goods.
Risk
Goods are delivered to the address on the order and may require a signature. Responsibility for goods passes to the customer upon receipt from the courier. Any transit damage or parcels not sealed with security tape must be noted on the Couriers paperwork at the time of the delivery. Carputer-Shop.co.uk will not accept liability for any discrepancies if this procedure is not followed. It is your responsibility to notify Carputer-Shop.co.uk of any transit damage or opened packages within 5 days so that we can process your claim. However, if you choose to have goods supplied by the Royal Mail postal service Carputer-Shop.co.uk cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged goods.
Delivery Problems
It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of parcels as shown on the carriers consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note and it will be your responsibility to inform Carputer-Shop.co.uk within 5 days.
Problems after delivery
In the unlikely event that you receive an incorrect or short delivery you must inform Carputer-Shop.co.uk within 5 working days. Where possible we will deliver the correct items after return of incorrect items. We will not be responsible for any loss caused as a result but you will have the right to cancel and receive a full refund upon return of incorrect goods to Carputer-Shop.co.uk.
Returns
Please contact the returns department for RMA number and process.
Product Guarantees
All products are covered by the terms and conditions of the Manufacturers Guarantee. No product will be covered for faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse, incorrect installation or attempted theft. In addition routine maintenance, cosmetic damage are not covered. Any items found to be faulty as a result of any these will be classed as an out of warranty repair and will be charged at our repair agents standard repair cost. If the item is found not to be faulty at all then a standard charge of £20 will be applicable.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all products are securely packaged for return to Carputer-Shop.co.uk, preferably in original packaging. Failure to securely package items will invalidate the warranty and will result in you being charged for repair. Where the Manufacturer offers a credit and replace scheme Carputer-Shop.co.uk will offer this for a maximum of 30 days from the date of purchase. Each manufacturer operates a different warranty process for its products. Information on a specific Manufacturers procedure is available upon request. In most cases carriage costs for return to Carputer-Shop.co.uk must be met by you.
Cancellation of Orders
You have the right to cancel any order at any time prior to it being despatched. Once your order has been marked as despatched then the item cannot be cancelled and will be delivered. For items ordered incorrectly Carputer-Shop.co.uk will refund the cost of the items only - less 20% restocking fee to cover our admin. Items returned must be in perfect condition and unopened. If an item is not complete or has been opened/Installed then it will not be credited and will be returned to you without notice. Carputer-Shop.co.uk will not be held responsible for items returned independently nor will we reimburse any carriage costs. We do not operate a sale or return policy.
Force Majeure
Carputer-Shop.co.uk shall without prejudice to any other provisions hereof, be entitled to cancel or rescind any contract and shall not be liable for any loss or damage if its ability to perform its obligations under the contract or in any way adversely affected for any reason whatsoever not within Carputer-Shop.co.uk’s control, or by commercial unfeasibility including the failure by Carputer-Shop.co.uk’s suppliers to fulfil their obligations, the denial or cancellation of necessary permits or licences or substantial increases in costs. Carputer-Shop.co.uk shall indemnify the buyer against any cost or damages arising out of any court judgment or final arbitral award that the normal use or possession of the goods (but not goods incorporating the goods supplied by Carputer-Shop.co.uk) infringe the property rights of any third party provided.
Confidential Information
Buyers shall not, without Carputer-Shop.co.uk’s written consent, disclose to any third party any secret or confidential information supplied by Carputer-Shop.co.uk to them. Buyers shall not copy or reproduce any drawings, specifications, or other written material supplied by Carputer-Shop.co.uk in connection with the goods or any of the goods themselves or any part thereof.
PLEASE NOTE:
Carputer-Shop.co.uk’s cannot be held responsible if your vehicle has any abnormalities which result in any product/equipment not being able to function properly or function at all. If your vehicle has a certain pin configuration then please check it before ordering. Some vehicles can be early or recent registrants and the number plate might not match the pins that are "standard" for that vehicle. Also although our supplier’s strive to provide compatible equipment vehicle manufactures may adjust firmware/specifications without notice and hence incompatibility between equipment can occur. Carputer-Shop.co.uk’s cannot be held responsible for any installation costs, or costs incurred for the installation or removal of equipment.
